Hey Hey RT Friends!

I'm writing this short entry to tell you that I will be around more often in the next couple of weeks -- more so than I have been in the past two months or so -- meaning I'll probably be bombarding your journals && image sections as I go through my monster-like watchlist. ::

How have all of your lives been? I hope all has been well...or at least better than mine, seeing as how I was lucky enough to be sick on my 18th birthday last Monday for example. ::

I love reading. I use to read a lot and have favorites..... not anymore :: If I had to throw a book at you so you could shut up and read for the longest time period possible it would be one of Michael Crichton's books b/c they keep my attention pretty darn well.

And yep! March 7th WAS my birthday! I'm sorry to hear that you were feeling so well then, though! EVERYONE should feel GREAT on March 7th! It's like Christmas in March! Hahahaha!! =D

Short lived indeed. For that feeling (which sadly means the superficial letter grade too), school's the closest thing to a drug that I've every used. It keeps you studying your head off even though you can be completely unhappy throughout the process. The nerd drug. ::
Well thank you, I will share it. You're studying to be a nurse, right? I assume you've subjected yourself to a rigorous course of study. My "smart" friends && I are often stressing over our work load that we get now. It's good to know we're well practiced at least. I'd like to think that I'm not going to completely drowning in college.

Oh goodness I wish you hadn't said that part about the superficial letter grade lol For the most part I push myself to get an A and I hate to think about the future when I'm old that that silly A will mean absolutely nothing. Nerds are strange strange beings....why we subject ourselves to such a rigorous study schedule which allows little to no sleep I can not understand. I mean for the average person they would rather have sleep and a B or C but nerds oh no we like to torture ourselves for an A. I guess we get high off the fact we are at the top of the class. It's a good thing red bull isn't considered a drug otherwise I would be in trouble. =P You got me confused with Giz...he's studying to be a nurse...I'm studying to be a chemical engineer. I do have a crazy study schedule. My social life is really lacking but I make up for it in other ways like studying online over aim webcam with friends. I think you'll really love college...it's the ultimate nerd drug. It's nice to have the ability to take various classes instead of the ones laid out for you in high school. It is a different experience though but from what I can tell about you I'm sure you'll do great.

Sorry about the long reply...I have this terrible tendency to ramble which I dunno why but Giz finds it adorable. Silly boy. =)

It's weird to think about me saying this, but your chem test story made me really glad && I feel like reading it to a friend but I'll restrain myself (I've got quite a few academically-driven friends who, if I am interpreting correctly, are like-minded with you when it comes to earning those grades). It's just so great whenever a test ends up that way, isn't it! I thought it important that I share my congrats for someone who I feel really appreciates getting that good grade && some jubilation amongst the wave of constant student anxieties...well at least that's how I and some of my friends feel. The life of a hard-working student! haha.

It really is a great feeling when a test goes well unfortunately though that feeling is short lived. *sigh* Thank you for the congrats. And you're welcome to share my crazy chem story. It is a the interwebs which pretty much puts it up as fair game for anybody to read.

Ohhh yeah, that's right. I know what THAT feeling is like.... = \ It will come soon enough, though, and I'm sure you'll hear what you want from each school! But it's good that you know you already got into those two schools. Always nice to have that there to fall back on.

Yeah, my last semester I think I was like super lazy. I still had some pretty difficult stuff to do, but yeah... really lazy. =p Good to hear that it's not so bad for you, though.

I've been doing alright. Just doing school stuff and all that. Still lots of stuff to stress me out because I'm not a smartie like you are.

Well, sounds like if we both get any luck our way we might be able to catch up some time in California!

Actually, it depends on which nations you hold citizenship with. Most western nations have special status with the United States and Australia is one of them so I'm able keep two active citizenships at one time.
Well, I know I would be attending both Boot Camp and School of Infantry in the same year but getting deployed to Afghanistan. I don't know much about how to get there straight out of the Infantry Training Battalion course at SOI West (SOI West = California, SOI East = North Carolina). I can tell you that Boot camp goes for 12 weeks (add one week on to that while recruits prepare to leave for SOI and then a further 10 days of leave) and then the ITB course at the School of Infantry goes for 59 Days. Either way you look at it... If I do get in I'll have a busy year ahead of me.

Also, in answer to your whole "Where I'd be stationed" thing. Basically, I'd have to go to California for Boot Camp and seeing that I want to be a rifleman I'd have to go to the School of Infantry. After which I'd get to choose my duty station. Hopefully, if all goes well I'll be either stationed at Camp Pendleton, California or somewhere in Afghanistan.

Well, best of luck with your university plans!
It would be if I wasn't born an American Citizen. I'm actually Half-American, Half-Australian so I don't have to worry about getting an Legal Permanent Resident Certificate just to sign up. The only extra-beauracratic nonsense I have to put up with is maintaining two passports at once and then there's the whole getting to Guam thing.
