The Bar ExamDid you know Pandora has a limit that you can only listen to 40 hours per month of music for free?I didn't know either until I started studying for the bar. Here it's a 15 hour long test over three days (July 28th, 29th, 30th). It has a national essay portion, (4 questions), a State essay Portion (4 Questions), The "Multi-State Practice Test" - which is "research" essay questions based on pre-prepared facts that you get. And the Multi-State exam which is 200 multiple choice questions. The Multiple Choice questions are over 6 substantive areas of law (Constitutional law, Contracts Law, Property Law, The Rules of Evidence, Torts Law, and Criminal Law and Procedure) additionally, if you dont' know Civil Procedure many of the questions will make less sense than they would normally. The essays can potentially be over those 6 topics + 5 more (COmmercial Paper, Secured Transactions, Domestic Relations, Business Organizations, and Agency and Partnership) Arkansas additionally ads a 6th - Equity in the state essay portion. I'm 10 days out from the exam. I took a 6 week class that covered all the topics on the exam. I studied moderately through the class, and have already studied intensely for two weeks. I will say, through 4 years of college and 3 years of law school, I've never taken a test where I had 10 more days study and thought "man, I don't have enough time left." |
