Life is normalHow long can you make a journal about nothing? I'm still working two jobs, getting a total of 30-40 hours a week. Right now, I'm saving up to buy a new computer to replace the one that died 13 months ago. For those of you who are interested, I've been using my roommate's computer for the last four months.Despite being out of school, I still see friends from both high school and college pretty regularly. I think that's the only thing keeping me sane right now. I don't really make enough money to start saving for expensive things (other than my computer), and I haven't really been looking for new jobs recently. I'm still thinking about going back to school to get a degree in computer science. It would take me at least two more years, but it would put me in a career that is both interesting and attainable for me. I never really found something in the realm of physics that I could have considered a career, which is part of the reason I'm in the situation I'm in right now. However, I'm content at the moment to live in the now, taking each day as it comes. I've fallen a little behind in my tv watching. Right now, I'm catching up on American Idol, but I'm pretty close to getting bored of it. I still really like Modern Family and Community, but nothing else really sticks out for me. My sister is pregnant again. I get to be an uncle for a second time! Have I mentioned how much I love kids? My nephew is the cutest thing. Sometime, I'll try to get up a picture or two, but pictures can only say so much. He's very responsive for being 13 1/2 months old. My little brother taught him to make the sign for a touchdown. He doesn't even need to see it being done. He just hears the word "touchdown" and throws his hands up in the air. My sis and bro-in-law also taught him "shake your booty." Whenever they say it, he smiles and wiggles back and forth. I'm excited to watch him grow, and I can't wait until he actually recognizes me. I don't know how many of you are baseball fans, but I'm pretty much obsessed. I understand how people can find it boring. I really don't like watching most baseball games, including some playoff games, but I absolutely love watching the Twins and playing fantasy baseball. Because of that, this is a very happy time for me, seeing as the baseball season is right around the corner. I think this year, I might try to find a softball league to join, so I can actually get out and play a little. I feel like I get stuck eating a lot of the same things, unless I go out to eat. It's either a sandwich, frozen pizza, or pasta. Does anyone have any easy recipes for 1 (or up to about 4, since I can have leftovers)? I'm pretty picky, so finding recipes that I like might be tricky, but I could always alter them to my liking. Well, I guess I did a pretty good job talking about nothing, so I won't bore you anymore. I'll leave you with a question. Did you give anything up for lent? |
