Hahahaha, aghast at a blow job... my god, what a terrible sight that must have been.

I've heard amazing things about Lebanese wine, with much the same description as you gave for Georgian. I've always wanted to try one of those old-school wines, the syrupy mess the ancients used to hammer back.

No bj?! But... that's bread and butter!

I remember you saying how much you enjoyed Georgia.
Beautiful country side, cool people, and fewer Russian tanks than you'd expect.

I recall you mentioning (like, a year and a bit ago) that Armenia isn't exactly the best place for finding a man (for a few reasons)... how's that been for you?

I do still wonder what peace organizations are doing outside of public agitation for peace by way of protest and letter writing. I wonder what unique or innovative programs they are doing to try and get people to understand each other.
Just a couple local places I know of:
www.grinnell.edu/academic/peacestudies/committee/
Which is a reworking of an older institute that was around in my day: www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Iowa_Peace_Institute

I was reminded of it while listening to an interview on NPR with a lecturer who's going to be there tonight.
www.grinnell.edu/academic/peacestudies/peaceconf2010/keynotespeakers/davidschmid

Sounds much like what you're describing.

Oh and of course there's American Friends Service Committee
www.facebook.com/pages/AFSC-Des-Moines/280483240261
And the Unitarian Universalists
www.ucdsm.org/SocialAction/index.php

But those are religious groups who work towards peace and not strictly peace groups.
Still, you're right ~ what they do on a regular basis isn't well publicized.
