UpdateI've finally made my way back. I have just been crazy busy this semester with work, school and preparing for the Holidays.School has gone really well this semester. I am taking 2 classes: Introduction to Film from its inception to the 1950s and Health & Sports for Life. A required 2 credits of "gym" to graduate from a SUNY program. Anyhow, film class has been amazing. We've seen so many great movies. I actually even really enjoyed the silent films we watched (Tol'able David, The Crowd, The Gold Rush). Nosferatu was a film I was excited for, but it ended up sucking. The Lady Eve and The Maltese Falcon were both amazing, I know I'm really going out on a limb there(ha-ha), but seriously, I enjoyed them. My film professor actually recommended that I apply to the Honors Program at school and after a little consideration (and working up the courage to ask 2 professors for recommendations) I did and was accepted! It was exciting and it made me feel like I made the right decision by going back to school and it reminded me that I actually am smart sometimes, which was a nice feeling. I celebrated my first year of married life on November 1st and my husband came down with full-on Swine Flu after our cruise that day. Thankfully even though we were in close quarters I never got it. I don't know how, but I feel like I really dodged a bullet. Must be all that bacon I ate on the cruise.  I hope you're all well. I tried catching up on journals and I'm slowly making my way through them all. I am trying to comment on everything, but I am just way out of the loop.
