Airman Basic Denk Reports as Ordered!!Yep, that's right . . .At approximately 2:30 PM today, I was sworn in to become a member of the United States Air Force. I am now enrolled into the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) and will be there until one of my job selections becomes available. But before I go into further detail, let me tell you how I did on the ASVAB. My overall score on the ASVAB was 77. I the general section I scored 74. I used the general section as my main section before I chose from my list of qualified positions. The five positions I chose are the following(listed from most favorite to least favorite): 1. 1A2X1 - AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER 2. 1A4X1 - AIRBORNE BATTLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS 3. 1A0X1 - IN-FLIGHT REFUELING 4. 1A7X1 - AERIAL GUNNER 5. 1C3X1 - COMMAND POST I'm hoping to get the Aircraft Loadmaster position the most out of all the selection. I'm very happy that I was able to qualify for that position and be able to select it upon reviewing my contract with the USAF counselor. Now all that's left to be done is to wait and keep my weight down, and be ready to receive my orders to report to Lackland AFB for Basic Training. But for right now, I'm going to rest considering I've had a looooong day filling out my medical forms and many other miscellaneous forms of processing. Good night everyone and have a fun weekend. |
