Pokemon Workout Machine

So my big grown-up fifteen-year-old son had his birthday yesterday and he evidently spent some of his gift card points on "Pokemon heart gold and soul silver"
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!
Evidently this is quite the rage at high school (where everyone is SO grown up) and all the kids are walking around with the enclosed Pokemon pedometer ("Pok� walker accessory") in their pockets to get extra XP. That's right, because for every step you take, you get an experience point.

It's genius! Think of all the exercise they're getting! Now the real entrepreneur would harness these high schoolers to say... a grain mill, or some sort of electric generator, because kids will do anything for XP and achievement points. ANYTHING. I bet they'd even eat whale penis.

Sigh. If there was only some way for them to get XP for doing homework!!!

Actually, after your comment, I thought of 10 years ago when crazy parents were protesting Pokemon, calling it violent. Considering kids are apparently into ecstasy, erotic asphyxiation, swapping partners and sexting, making a run for the Thunder Badge or capturing a Ponyta doesn't seem so terrible, does it?

And I wasn't implying you were being critical. I just wanted to let you know that I, technically an adult, also bought the game. But then again I watch Phineas and Ferb a few times a week, but that's because it's brilliant.

I'm in California. We don't know what "cold" is. It doesn't exist in our vocabulary. Unless you come from Tahoe of course. :D

It's not really grass but its like all those little leaflets that sprout around a well packed trail that start as almost moss like things they are so small and gradually grow into a shag rug then into a lawn and finally into knee high greenery. It's stunning. I wish I'd taken a picture on the walk I took recently in our local park. I'll have to go back and snag one sometime soon before it gets too tall. lol.

I wasn't planning on getting extended wear glasses anyways. I'm getting pretty good at popping them in now. I can't wear them long because my eyeballs are too dry, the optician told me that I should not wear them to work
