interwebs in the housePicture journal will be picturey.Lafleur is in town so we're doing a whole lot of sightseeing. Thursday we walked through Central Park, then headed to Times Square....where we took a detour into toys r us and had some fun.    Friday we went back to central park, this time we hung out at the zoo for a while and played with the animals. We then went by Rockefeller Center and then up in the Empire State Building, which i hadn't done yet since moving here. It was awesomely pretty.      Saturday we did a walking tour of the world trade center site and wall street, then battery park before heading to the south street seaport....They've put together a preview site of what the new world trade center area will look like and it's going to be gorgeous if they ever finish it. After all that walking we headed to a bar for beers and pool....what kinda bar lets people steal all their 8 balls? srsly?   And finally today went on a guided tour of the highlights of yankee stadium. It began in the museum, small but it hit the main points, they have a neat installation of a wall of balls signed by each of the players that have ever been on the team, really awesome to look at. We also got to go through monument park and through each teams dugout and out onto the warning track behind home plate. As a baseball fan it was pretty awesome.    All in all it's been a super awesome visit. I love it when the internets come to town. |
