I am easily creeped out and hate to be scared, so I'd like to know gmaes I should be avoiding.....I know Fatal Frame and Silent Hill for starts, but what games should I avoid?
Anything that could be considered "Survival Horror." The Resident Evil series comes to mind -- although the series is less scary than the two series you have named. If you avoid the Resident Evil franchise you'll miss some good games in my opinion.

ditto.
and i you avoid silent hill games, you'll nave play silent hill 2, you'll miss out on a very good game....but if you play it, you might not sleep for weeks.
I don't want to start a Vs. war or anything, but I thought the monsters in the Silent Hill games were just too stupid looking for me. Especially in Silent Hill 2. The manequins (*SP)? Come on! What about the pyramid head? I didn't like that aspect, so it kind of ruined it for me.
i quite agree with you, although pyramid head scared the shit outta me every time. but still, to me silent hill is more atmospheric (sp?) while res evil is more, window brakes open as you pass, zombies fall out.
Near the end of Ocarina of Time, when you're climbing the tower, there was so much atmosphere and suspense I was pumped up beyond belief. It got brighter and brighter, the faintest of organ music growing louder and louder... Awesome stuff.
I never get freaked out by a video game, Silent Hill 4, The Suffering, those games just made me laugh, but if I have too choose one I'd choose Manhunt, because every time I play this game I want to grab a machette and start STABING THE FUCK! OUTTA SOMONE!!
The Cradle level in Thief 3 has to be the freakiest freaking level ever created in anything ever. Well, only the first half. When the zombies appeared it got less freaky, but before that it was seriously nerve-racking.
Also, the Asylum level in American Mcgee's Alice was pretty weird.

And he's only 16 folks! Wow dude, you are a perfect example for all of the protestors of video game violence out there. Maybe you should take your medication and take a nap.
A rather older one, System Shock 2. Hiding under a desk with no ammo while you can hear a hybrid mumbling to himself outside the door is as bad as it gets for me. But as the same warning that has accompanied most of the posts in here, if you dont play it youll be missing out on a great game.
I'll have to go for Zombie Nation. This game is not really scary, but it is freaky as a hell. It's an old NES game where you play the giant floating head of a legendary samurai who must break the zombie curse of the evil Darc Seed by destroying everything in sight. Basically you fly around as this creepy looking head (kinda looks like Vigo from Ghostbusters II) and spits some weird foam at buildings and catch people as they fall. They game is so freaking weird you have to keep playing it.
For me Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly--the first Fatal Frame was creepy but then when you play the second one in FPS thats a whole other story. Its kinda sorta like your the person because you see it when they see it and not see it before when your walking and the different camera angles (that made me dizzy) and just the plot of it! The older twin _____ the younger twin then ____ ____ a butterfly. (the little __ were so I wouldnt give anything away.)
I loved the first Fatal Frame when I was playing it. Walking into a room and then all of a sudden your controller starts shaking and you don't know where it's coming from...good stuff. Although I don't want to spoil it for you I was disappointed with the ending. I heard there was a "true" ending you got after beating it on Nightmare level but I never cared enough to try it. Other than that it was a cool game. Defintely liked the idea of a camera being your only weapon. I'd say try it if you're interested, but I wouldn't recommend the second.
Maybe Dredd vs. Death would freak you out with the zombies and vampires and stuff I was freaked out when I went into a disco and found some zombies shakin' their thang on the dancefloor
Halo games might also freak you out because the flood can be pretty creepy
Well since i dont know if you mean freakiest as in (as im assuming )scary....or freakiest as in what the fuck? well for scariest DOOM 3...I...I..I crapped my pants......for weirdest would have to be this doom like game where you are Noah and you shoot crazed hungry animals and make them fall asleep..
