Sorry mate been deployed for the last year so we don't get a lot of new stuff here... but ya I'll let him know and he should take a look at it when next he gets the chance =-)
I had a look at the book in one of the shops about 2 months back had a little read of it while I was there and started to like it, had a look for some information on wikipedia yesterday and I gotta say I am definetley getting into this game, hopefully I can get afew mates over during the summer holidays before I go to the army and we can have a game of this, one question though, can you combine all 3 of the books together?
World of Darkness is the required corebook for all four systems. Werewolf the Forsaken, Vampire the Requiem, Mage the Awakening and World of Darkness are all 100% Compatible
thanks for that, I might be holding a small rp group over the summer holidays with a few of my mates so we can all play a game of WoD, my character is gonna be a werewolf cause they are just awesome
no prob. Although I am not sure how well everyone gets along the systems are compatible as far as the rules go. no more need for house rules to clear up inconsistencies between supernaturals.
ah well, good luck to finding a group if you have the time, I got a question, for WoD do you need a game runner like in D&D (aka Dungeon master or whatever they call him) or not?
sounds like a plan to me... Still relatively new to this area f the RPG worlds, but if i can find some peeps to hook me up, i would be the FIRST to join the legion!!!!
I like the new take on the werewolf for WOD, I think the themes are more adult and complex to the old Werewolf (aka bitter Hippies with fur and claws). I think the system plays well, the setting correct and the spirits are no longer a tool but a compete part and portion of the setting. You can no longer rule out the spirits as you did in the old game. I also like the keeper of the balance rather then the fight the eco-bad guys and the bad corps.
Werewolf hurts my head. I get it the lest out of all the games. I guess it just hasn't "clicked" yet. I see werewolf being the big "hulk smash" type game too. Which is nice, I like playing the big fighter. Thus why I tend to play Gangrel in Vampire. It's a fun game though, I like all the WoD games really.
They are probably between print runs. I believe they are operating on a smaller print run scale than they used to in order to keep costs down. Saves money on storage space at the least. I am pretty sure you can get it in pdf format from DriveThruRPG.
drivethru rpg is legal. I am not sure but i think white wolf also offers the pdfs in their own store.and it usually costs only a third to half of the print version.
