Text modifiers getting mixed up [ 1 ]

I'm not sure if they're actually called "tags", but it's the Bold/Underline/Italics/Strike buttons.

This has so far happened to me twice within two or three days, once in my About Me section, once for a journal comment.

For the About Me section, I wanted a group of text bolded, and some of the bolded group underlined. I did everything properly about three times, but each time, instead of it all being bold and part underlined, it was all underlined and part bold. Just switched around. Eventually, I purposefully switched the u's and b's inside the brackets so that, being the opposite of whatever I told it to do, it would appear as I had originally wanted. Since then, though, it fixed itself, and I had to go back and put in the right letters in the right brackets.

So, for the record, this is what it was, minus the in-bracket spaces, of course:

Typed:
[ b ][ u ]Should be bolded and underlined.[ /u ]
Should be just bolded.[ /b ]

End result:
Should be bolded and underlined.
Should be just bolded.

For the journal comment, I tried to use italics to quote a line from the journal, and then write my response. Instead, the quote was left normal, the response was italicized.

Typed:
[ i ]Journal quote.[ /i ]

Witty reply.

End result:
Journal quote.

Witty reply.

The only pattern I see is that this seems to happen only if I try and bold/underline/italicize/strike (though I havn't used strike and had this happen yet) one line, and then press enter and start a new line underneath. The About Me section, as I gave in the example, had one line break, but the Journal Comment, I put two line breaks, again, as in the example.

Try hitting the "Fix Tags" Button next to the bold button. See what happens.

Sorry, didn't see that it was going in the about me section.

My suggestion is simply type in each command seperately. As in

[ u][ b] ashkghao [/u ] [/b ]
[b ] ksho [/b ]

Should be bolded and underlined.
Should be just bolded.

I can't reproduce your problem. Stop with the heroin.

They get mixed up at random times, one in every...oh, about 30 times I comment or generally submit something?

It doesn't happen every time, and it didn't happen in this thread. I was just showing how it ended up, the tags are all correct here.

You're probably forgetting to close a tag or something.
