Who is Drowning Pool?
Drowning Pool is a Nu Metal band from Dallas, Texas that rose to prominence while playing along with Ozzy Osbourne during Ozzfest. Their 2001 debut album, Sinner, was certified platinum within six months and the video for its first single "Bodies" was frequently aired on various music video channels.

As Drowning Pool arrived in Manassas, Virginia for a date mid-way through the tour, Dave Williams was found dead on the band's tour bus. He had passed away from natural causes, specifically Heart Cardiomyopathy, Concentric Left Ventricular Hypertrophy.

In reply to Achlime, #18:

Actually, it is false metal. You said it yourself, they're a nu metal band. Nu Metal = False Metal.
Look it up. Nu Metal is not metal at all, but alternative. It's just often mistaken for metal by those unfamiliar with the genre.

Also, this forum is for discussion, not rampant fanboyism. Negative comments are fine as long as they're backed up.

In reply to lordnykon, #19:

HAY UR RITE LEMME GET MY NEGZ

Grow up. First off, neg modding doesn't do much in the first place. Secondly, prove him wrong if you disagree with him. If you can't, kindly accept the truth. And finally:

Learn of it's ways or be smited by it's great weight.

In reply to Ragnaviper, #20:

Nu metal (or aggro metal) is a controversial subgenre of heavy metal music. It sometimes bears some influence to hip-hop, because rhythmic innovation and syncopation are primary. Nu metal bands also feature aggressive vocals (either rapped, shouted, or sung), drop-tuned guitars that are clean or distorted, (with riffing similiar to the Seattle scene of the early 1990's) a funk-based rhythm section, and occassional DJ techniques such as turntables and sampling. ..

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nu_metal

Metal is a genre of music that derives from rock and electric blues, with great use of wah-wah, distorted guitars and loudy bass... -

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_music

I agree to you to an extent... Drowning Pool is still Metal as it still uses the 'with great use of wah-wah, distorted guitars and loudy bass... '

although its only is classified 'Nu' because of the vocals...but really its about the music and not overally the vocals... well that my opinion anyway...

but yes... Don't Neg Mod People for thier Opinion! neg modding is only really for reakky reakky stupid comments... for example... OMG i want to F*** you i love you... will you go out with me or roosterteeth sucks - those are worthy of -neg mods not opinions

p.s RoosterTeeth Rules
