This game looks like it is going to rock. I saw a preview of it on my DOW: Winter Assault disc and it looked sweet. It is coming out some time this year and its made by THQ.
This game is great, but it can get frustrating when your AI soldiers decided to cut across an MG nest to get to point on the map. Lost of babysitting required.
lol, its currently one the best reviewed games on metacritic right now... like top 5 i think... maybe higher... PC Gamer gave it 96%... and its worth it... first RTS to actually keep me away from Warcraft 3. and rag doll physics rock... especially when lotsa Nazis are sent flying every which way.... mawahahaha
i think CoH is a very well done game, the tactics and the actions are superb, rag doll soldiers like ive NEVER seen that in an RTS, and when zoomed up the characters look just like theyre from CoD 2 which also had good graphics. i like how they used a "creative" liscence and changed the story line a bit to fit with the game. If i could rate this game it give it a 10 outta 10. (also cuz i participated in the beta and that gave me a firsthand look at it)
Now heres a big question. I love DoW and will be buying dark crusade when it comes out. How similar is the gameplay and would it still warrant a purchase?
Also my internet connection dosen't allow for online gaming (it hates me) so apart from a few random lans i'll be limited to skirmish and the campaign. That said these modes have kept me pretty happy with DoW.
for people who want try it before they buy go to fileplanet.com and search for company of heros and download the singleplayer demo. it 1gb roughly so be patient but well worth it!!
I own this game. Buy it. Bitches. Its probly the best freaking rts I have played yet. Its so fun to send a squad of soldiers to attack a tank and get there little body parts blown off.
When I first bought this game it worked fine and i enjoyed it for the few days I had it. But I had troubles with my hard drive and needed to reformat, after the reformat the game started freezing every 5 to 10 minutes into a game. I have no idea what the problem could be.
My friend has a dual core athlon and dual sli graphics cards and it lags so bad he cant play it. I play it fine on a single core and a single 512mb pci express graphics card. So ive been trying to figure out why it isnt working on his and im thinking its the hard drive.
