i dont know if this is true or not, but i heard a couple of my friends saying the GC could emulate Xbox 360 games, im not sure if thats true but i do know that the GC could emulate Xbox and ps2 games no prob.... and i dont see why people always underestimate the tiny lil purple box....
A modded GameCube could emulate Xbox and PS2 games. The GameCube has less graphic power (hate to say it, but it's true) than either Xbox or PS2. Xbox 360, though... I still wouldn't be suprised if a modded GC could emulate it. It's graphics (unless you shell out for Hi-Def) are sub-par, in my opinion.
I think all consoles are good, the ps2 and GC are best (in my opinion). I honestly don't think their is ONE best console, it depends on how varied and open minded you are to be willingly to try other consoles
...The Gamecube can produce way better graphics than the PS2, if you cant notice that when playing some games....then youre lost. Its no joke that the Xbox has the most graphical power of all three, but the Gamecube can do some pretty nice textures too.
i have a gamecube a ps2 and an xbox 360. I like my gamecube the best because it has games that no other console has or will probably ever have, like SSBM or yes, i do play animal crossing from time to time.
I would agree with gamecube's superiority. Nintendo knows how to make fun and strategical games. No games will be as good as metroid or SSBM. WAY TO GO!
In reply to eggward, #11: No shit. PS2 may have better functions and xBox may have better graphics but GCN has the best GAMES. No fucking competition there.
Although I am starting to lean in the direction of the xBox solely because of Halo, I remain faithful to my GCN roots and the awesome hours on end I've spent staring at the screen drooling with glazed-over eyeballs.............................
The GCN has some of the best colors over the the other two, alot britter and more vivid, the only issue is the size restraint on the games since it uses mini DVD's, but still beats the xbox and ps2 hands down in looks of the games.
the revolution will not only have online play but you will be able to play nearly all past Nintendo games (i'm not sure about past games being able to be played online)
Revolution wouldn't be able to play past games online at all. Nintendo has only had two or three games online, in the first place. I don't think they're going to reconstruct the online gameplay network for Phantasy Star and possibly a select few other games.
