The Island is waiting... Waiting to shoot Sawyer.... IN DA FACE!!
Well I was never in the last thread but now im joining this one so my opinion on the second season so far:
I have to download them because im in England, but did anyone feel that it started so well with the hatch then got kinda boring (Anna Lucia's fault) but then picked right back up in the last few episodes with the lockdown. I love how they went more into Hurley's back story because up and till now he's just been comic relief, so its nice to know there really using the big guy.
And what the hell is up with Jin? One minute he's an asshole and the next he rules but then goes back to being a complete asshole in a span of 10 minutes. Tip: Your wife is hot Jin, stop being a douche and get it on.
Also, what do you guys think that cloud is? Personally, to go along with the research facility theory, I think it's an A.I. in a physical form (A... I...). I got the idea from the little sparks and such you see inside of the smoke-body. Also, when the thing attacked Locke in season 1, and it was off-camera, I think those machine-like noises it made when it moved was the A.I.'s robot body that it possesses in order to touch/kill things (the black smoke came out THROUGH the ground when they dropped dynamite on it, remember?).
So basically, A.I. that possesses a robot. RvB logic FTW.
I believe it is the Cerberus System, that according to the blast door map, malfunctioned. I was always under the impression that it was a security system
Oh, I completely agree. The A.I., Cerberus, malfunctioned, and is now wandering the island aimlessly. If you recall, the "monster" used to go on crazy rampages, killing anything it encountered - that is, until its robot body got blown up. Now it's just wandering, wandering, wandering...
Even if it wasn't malfunctioning, and was just guarding the hatch, then it still can't do anything now, because its body is gone.

we all were after, you know, Rousseau said it's "a security system" back in season 1 on the way to the Black Rock.
can't wait for tonite, can't wait to find out what Rose's condition is, and can't wait to see MICHAEL'S RETURN
Also, for those involved in the TAFRPG, try to get your backstories in by this weekend, we're gonna try to start writing the island story asap and we need everyone's flashbacks to start doing that, so please get em in as fast as you can (but don't rush your writing, just try to meet the deadline of this Saturday).
Geeze. Gone for a couple of hours and we give birth to a new thread!
I would have liked to have created it but alas, I was not online for the picking.
And duly noted, Greenleaf. Where am I sending it though? Cuz right now I wrote a summary, not the actual chapters sooo I dunno which Bryy wants and how to get it to him (pm, email, etc.) PM me about it. I'll be starting to write the actual chapters tonight.
you can e-mail it to me at SRM8688@aol.com and i'll pass it along the proper channels.
get me what you can when you can, you're a GM right? so i'm sure somebody will msg you regarding when we start writing the actual present time island story.
huh, found something interesting in the orientation video.
it says something along the lines of "Munitions Magnus (it could be Magnet but that doesn't make sense) Alvar Hanso"
Is Magnus Hanso just his title? is alvar hanso already dead and buried on the island near the swan??? interesting, it seems that Hanso might have been killed by the Others.
Also, Desmond says "are you him?" i think he's referring to the infamous "he" we've been hearing so much about lately. Desmond almost seems astonished and humbled to meet Locke when he thinks he's "him".
Oh yeah... Now that you mention it, what was THAT all about? Apparently Locke is important to the island? That could explain why "Cerberus" was dragging him away back in Season 1.

well Desmond has never seen "him" before, so he thought when Locke was there that it was him, he was wrong, Locke is not "him." I thought Hanso was "him" but it looks more likely that Hanso is dead....so i dunno, we'll see.
also, shifts in the hatch for Dharma employees is 540 days, which is equal to 18 months (30 days/month). So terms are a year and a half...Desmond's been there for twice that long (maybe he figured he served Kelvin's shift and his own, so he left the button with the survivors).
If Desmond doesn't come back soon (sometime during May sweeps) i'm gonna be angry. I looked at his imdb to see if any projects were in his way...the last thing he did was those two 24 eps, and they film way far ahead so those eps were probably filmed last year, whereas some of these May eps (at least the finale) haven't been filmed yet. I can't wait for the guest star listings for Two for the Road, ?, Three Minutes, and the finale, i think there are gonna be some great ones.
best guest list so far though, Maternity Leave. It had MC Gainey (Mr. Friendly), William Mapother (Ethan Rom), Michael Emerson (Henry Gale), Mira Furlan (Rousseau), and Tania Raymonde as Young Girl (aka Alex Rousseau). the three most famous others (or at least we think they're all Others) we know, great episode.
my guess is Friendly will make it back for Three Minutes (seeing as that's Michael's island-flashbacks with apparently lotsa Other info), and possibly for the finale.
also, does anyone know what Ana Lucia's part in the backstory is tonite? i know we see her in the terminal near Rose/Bernard, is it just kinda "oh she's there" or is it important?
