I have been attempting to log onto RvB and It seems to have been offline since 11am this morning GMT London time, till like 8pm, and I'm happy to be online again, also a lot of people's profiles seem to have... gone mine is fine but some people I know have dissapeard hopfully this will be resolved soon, most server glitches are usually corrected, rvb is still a cool site... If anyone has experienced a problem and it has not been resolved, post here...Staff may read them and try to give an explanation or correct it
for me, all non-sponsors' profiles have invalid parameters, and tons of people's avatars are coming up as question marks (including mine apparantly, but in my profile its coming up normal)
AFAICT- all non-sponsors have had their accounts messed up. They are obviously still there, however the website doesn't seemt to want to link to the profiles correctly. The ? avatars with no names under them lead to rvb.roosterteeth.com/members/profile.php?uid= . The user ID's seem to have gone missing.
No one edit their about sections right now, this happened a while back when everyone's stuff became invisible. When you edit your about sections during this, your entire profile will be "blooped", meaning erased. Don't edit your profiles!!
In reply to IcedEmblem32, #9: Yeah these kind of things have occured before and been resolved, we just have to sit it out... I think a server with over 400,000 users is allowed to go wrong now and again, the problem will be resolved soon we hope
I've just come up with another theory... I don't know if it's true yet... People who have awards seem to have not been affected... I could be wrong, but yeah as the other guys said before, DON'T MAKE ANY PROFILE EDITS!!! while the site is being sorted
All I have to say here is what the Hitchhiker's Guid to the Galaxy would tell us: Don't Panic. It's happened before, just follow the advice of IcedEmblem and m1lky and you should be fine. If you've already editted something...........well.........shit, I guess. Just chill everyone, it should all be fixed very briefly.
People, don't worry. This is teh 4th time that the blank users thing has happened, it has been fixed without many problems before, it will again. Unless something goes wrong, nothing will be deleted. Just wait it out, and if you aren't a blank user right now, DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. Most of the time changing something in your profile causes you to become a "Blank" user.
But you AREN'T going to lose your profile, it'll be fixed, and even if you are blank right now, you will most likely get everything back, as ha happened before.
