Oops looks like I lapsed. After going through all twelve pages of the tabletop games forums, here is the Official First Mage the Awakening thread. Hopefully We can get some intelligent discussion going soon.
I would like to start the discussion by asking which Path are you most likely to play?
I played hte old fversion of Mage and I found it to be very ... whats the word I'm looking for. Well, let's just say that it really forced you to be creative and I really liked that. I playerd one of those naturally awakening mages, the street mages, I think they were called Hollow Ones or something like that.
this was a loooooooooong time ago, by the way. Anyhow, great game. I don't have the time or group to play many tabletops anymore. What sort of changes have they made between the old and the new?
As I am still trying to squeeze in the time to actually read the book I would not be able to give you a full list of changes. So far it seems they have brought the magic system forward mostly unchanged.
I am in love with this game. Admittedly its hard, but I still love it. I mean as a mage you really can do anything. Last week when I was running a mage game, a forces Mage sucked in the spikes on this dog to stab it. And later plated bowling for people with a table.
