Seems like this relates more to music than to pc games, but if im wrong I can move this. So, I know there must be some Guitar lovers in here who don't own Guitar Hero I/II and like me use the poor mans version.
I searched for anything on FretsonFire, but nothing came up so I'll do a intro just in case its never come up before, then i'll get to my original point....
* Unique inverted keyboard game play style * Support for guitar controllers and generic joysticks * Includes a song editor for making your own tunes * Submit your scores to the World Charts * Hundreds of songs composed by the community * Supports importing Guitar Hero™ I and Guitar Hero™ II songs * Multiplatform; runs on Windows™, Linux®, Mac OS X™ and FreeBSD® * Open source, full Python source code available
Free guitar hero type program, minus the avatars. Definently worth a dl since hey, its free... Addictive as hell, especially when you use songs you like.
Anyway, that brings me to my point. This game is cool, but it only comes with 3 songs for tutorial purposes. Theres over 600 songs that have been released for it seperatly...just that I've found on like....bit torrent and stuff like that. So, I was opening this thread to discuss the songs themselves, which releases are good, which are bad, difficulty, scores, what have you.
So, if you play FretsonFire, and you have some suggestions on songs or anything to contribute, its an open floor. If you havn't heard of it, give it a try and then join the above group.
If the people who make Frets on Fire want to take really easy classic rock songs and let computer users pretend to play them, they could at least have six strings and get the fret positions right.
