Speaking of, I just finally watched Punisher War Zone this weekend. Wasn't bad. I still like the Thomas Jane one better, as it's more an origin story, but I like that this was a simple Punisher story. He was already doing his thing for a few years, and this was just a chapter in the story. Gruesome deaths and cold violence. That's a Punisher movie to me.

As far as a CBM movie I'd remake.....I'm gonna go off the reservation and say Steel, and by putting a credible actor in the lead role, and not have it be a vehicle for Shaq's acting career.

Steel was fucking dreadful but Richard Rowntree had a killer line:

Slightly related to X2.

Kelly Hu should do a lot more movies. It's criminal how little she's done.

And had a minor role in Scary Movie 4. Guess that sums up how... fruitful his acting career was.

If I could remake any CBM movie? None. I'm just a damn 18-year-old who spends most of his time on the internet. What the hell would I know about filmmaking? I like present time the way it is. I don't want to risk anything to jeopardize it... except go back in time to prevent Hugo Chávez from becoming president of my country. That, I know, would only bring benefit for the world, at least most of it.

Was picking up GI Joe (not because it's a "good" movie, but because I had fun watching it, which is, in my opinion, much more important) and I finally broke down and picked up Uncharted. People *coughchippercough* keep talking about how amazing Uncharted 2 is, and I'm not gonna jump into the second one without playing the first. Hope it's as good as people say.

You are right on with GI Joe. It is not a perfect movie but I really had fun watching it which is really the point. I will be getting it as well.

Yep got G.I. Joe Bluray... which for some reason was cheaper than DVD, I say I'll take it.

I'm currently playing Uncharted 2 without playing the first and now I'm just pissed I didn't, uncharted 2 is so fun.

Really? I would have gotten the bluray if it was cheaper than the DVD, but the bluray was $25 and the DVD was $15.

I've only gotten to play a demo of Uncharted 1. It was really fun! The platforming was pretty well done (from what the demo had, anyway) and combat was great too. And from what I've seen, Uncharted 2 has big chances of getting Game of the Year from most gaming sites, unless, of course, MW2 steals its thunder.

So far Uncharted 2 has gotten extremely high scores, but we'll see about MW2. It'll be a close race for sure.

In regards to the failed pick-up stories

Once, my brother was asked to the formal (or, for you Yanks, the prom) by a girl he knew, and he agreed to go. At the time, my brother was single, as was the girl, and they were pretty good friends and it was evident she liked him (to me, the emotionally-deep-as-a-rain-puddle brother, so I can only assume everyone else saw it). But it was not to be.

Two days before the formal, idiot calls her up and cancels. Why? Because he's going to the same formal with someone else. But not just anyone else - with her best friend.

That was many years ago, but to this day that girl and her parents still have not forgiven him.

In regards to the X-movie talk

Recasting could be fun. I actually would like to keep Marsden as Cyke; Marsden is a fine actor, he just needs a better script and more screentime, then he can shine. The problem with the Cyclops character is that he keeps getting shafted, and I'm not blaming the actor for that. The only characters that I see as definitely needing recasting are Storm and Iceman. Get the fuck rid of Berry and Ashmore, honey. Then we'll talk

I would like an X-movie with Wolverine out on the open road somewhere, no one knows where, and he don't come back. Seriously, fuck Wolverine. Fuck him up his arse. I am sick to death of the fucker.

Now me, I really want Apocalypse. Apocalypse would be a great villain - then there's potential for the Horsemen (thus giving Angel a sizable role) plus an epic battle between Magneto and Apocalypse would be fantastic (it happens in every bloody series, it HAS to happen here). And even if that doesn't happen, I WANT CABLE. CABLE CABLE CABLE!!!!

This discussion is why I reread Astonishing X-Men every now and then. SUCH a good team book and such a good X-Men book. And hey, look...Wolverine's a supporting character like everyone else!

Plus he's hilarious.

That bit with Pete and Kitty walking into the kitchen. It never fails to make me laugh.

That book has my favourite Wolverine moment of all time in it. The team is all having inner monologues as they fight against a giant monster. Kitty and Pete are worried about each other, Scott is doing as Scott does and Emma is being insecure. They're all being very wordy about their feelings in this nature.

Wolverine's inner monologue amounts to "I really like beer."

I love it because it's accurate - Wolverine is a shallow, supporting character, and that was exemplified.

No, my brother was always a dick.

He has since matured (a bit), but he has a very checkered past. Bastard was the kind of kid who'd break something and then blame it on me. Then beat me up for breaking it.

Gofer, PA, similar thing. (PA is production assistant.) basically it means you're there to help with whatever they need help with.

Marksman.
Geekers: that's awesome! Each day you get more and more involved in the film industry. Can't wait 'till you become a famous director and hire me to do the concept designs for whatever sci-fi film you're producing.

thanks dude. and sure, send me some concept stuff, I'd like to see them. I like working with friends, the film I'm making in a week and a half (jesusfuckingchristIhavenotime.) I've hiring a bunch of friends, one of which will be the production disigner for the whole film. another two are crew.

I just got a H1N1 flu shot. Took 20 minutes. I'm curious as to where the "the lines are 6 hours long, and they are only giving the shot to high priority people" folks went to get there's. Anyway, piss off swine flu, I've got my shot. go away please. I want to be healthy again.
