Hey everyone, as to go by the rules, I need to make my own thread for a question, so here it goes.

I downloaded Fraps 2 days ago, and no matter how many options I change or things I screw with, i record the video itself perfectly fine, but I get no audio...and when I mean no audio I mean all I get is white noise and a pop or crack here and there. I've downloaded the latest audio drivers for my RealTek High Definition Audio card, compressed the video (as per the FAQ guide on the site) and tried using every conceivable combination of options to try to get this to work, but no dice.

My system specs are:
HP 7360n Desktop
2 GB ram
2.8 GHz dual core Intel VIIV processor
NVidia 8400GS Silent video card
RealTek high Definition Audio card (with all up-to-date drivers installed)

Any help would be appreciated.

In the Movies tab under sound device and sound input, what does it say?
Also what OS are you using?

Windows XP SP2

I have it set on "Detect best sound input"
Sound Device: Realtek HD Digital Input (which when clicked does not change at all)
Sound Input: Default (again, does not change when clicked)

But if I check "Use Windows Input"
Sound Device: Line In/Mic In
Sound Input: Default (neither changes when clicked either)
Now logic would denote that when you plug your outbound audio into the Line In/Mic In jack, it would pick up the sound. But it doesn't

...which Is why I'm at such a loss.
