After the demise of the President of Hudsucker Industries, Waring Hudsucker (Charles Durning), the board decides to put a fall guy into the position to cause the stock to fall, so they can buy it up. Sidney J. Mussburger (Paul Newman), Hudsucker's right hand man, puts Norville Barnes (Tim Robbins), a small town guy working in the mail room, into office. The movie chronicles the quick rise, and even quicker fall of Norville. It is written, directed, and produced by The Coen Brothers.
