I know what you're thinking: "Another fucking RT community podcast. Awesome."
But I promise, this one is different... Alright, not really, but we are funny. Well, Tack is... I just edit.
As comic and movie geeks, you can expect a whole lot of discussion relating to the subjects... But don't expect a whole lot of on-track conversation. Most often we find ourselves talking about the most random of topics, much like the thread itself.
We have been doing the show since the end of June, 2008. Since then, we have recorded and released an episode almost every week. There have been a couple times where we've had to break, for personal reasons, but the plan is to continue on strong from this point out.

As an extra note, that I didn't really want to paste in the first post, you may notice that we've strayed from using the outro at the end of every episode. We are also looking for a new intro.

Oh oh, and one more thing!
We're also working on a new logo/banner. I haven't found the time to work on it, but I do plan to get around to it. If you have any graphical skill, and wish to try your hand at making us a logo of somesort, feel free.
I prefer the album version of the coffee jingle, while I agree the distortion seemed too much to me at first, it really grew on me, plus it had the golden nugget of Gene Hoglan's drumming to go for it. Plus the show version... the distortion in that one was weak and it just didn't sound... full enough for the song it was meant to be.
So I'm currently working on episode 14. Due to some life issues and such, I've been behind the last little while. Well, these last couple episodes are all that stand between me and a regular schedule.
So the general consensus has been to release the episode unedited. It will still have the intro, and some outro music, but the episode itself will basically stay as is. Not only does this give me a chance to just release the episode quickly and catch up, but it also gives you guys the chance to see what really goes into the editing process.
This is also kind of a warning. Basically, if you have not yet listened to an episode of Retcast, episode 14 would not be the one to start on. I'm sure it will be a great episode, but the point is in the comparison. Stay tuned for ep.14 in the next couple days.
