If you use them in your wiimotes, how well do they work for you? I recently bought a new set but can't get more than a 15 minute session per set! I'm beginning to think that maybe the charger is the problem here, not the batteries or 'motes.
In my experience, rechargeable batteries just don't work that well in wireless video game controllers, period. I don't know what it is...I think they might generate a slightly lower voltage than standard batteries or something.
Rechargeable batteries also have difficulty holding a charge, depending on the method you've used to charge them. Some batteries have a "quick charge" that takes about 15 minutes but only lasts about 24 hours. The charge lasts longer if you let them keep charging after the 15 minutes.
I only use NiMH. I know about memory and all. I have come to the conclusion that the charger was a problem. It was on of those rapid charge things, so it would stop charging after an hour or so... but once I put the battery in for a second run through, the battery is showing 4 lights on the wiimote, and i haven't had to charge it for a few days now. Alot better than before.
I use rechargeable batteries, They may not last long, but atleast I dont have to worry about buying more, and since I have 8 batteries, for 3 (Not all Wii-motes) controllers, I always have a pair already charged and ready to go. And like I said already, the batteries may not last as long in the short run, but in the long run, I save a lot of waste by using rechargeable batteries. It all depends on what you will be using them for as well, and how often you will need to replace them.
