Virtuality is the pilot of a series that was to be aired on Fox, but the Execs flip-flopped and decided against the series, and Aired the Pilot as a TV movie. If you missed it, Check it out on Hulu.
If you liked it, comment here and then join the revival to get a continuance for the show.
I thought the concept was ok at first, but by the end of the "movie" I didn't really like where it was going. Also, it didn't have any sort of actual resolution of anything, which makes it pretty much the worst TV movie of all time. I mean, if they were going to call it a movie instead of a pilot they could have at least given it some sort of ending.
Overall, I felt it was a big disappointment. Not even sure I'd watch it if it did get picked up as a show.
I agree, the "movie" by itself was rather dull, and the ending lacking in... well, an ending. When I started watching, I didn't know it was originally a TV show, but I was thinking it would do better as such. I also have some doubts about its direction (regarding the HAL 9000 rip-off scenarios particularly) but I actually would give it a try, at least for a few more episodes.
