This is a thread to share information about pinnacle studio 12.
Now my question is: when i use chroma key , pic in pic, ect, a Pinnacle logo goes over the video and does not come of....i have no clue why it does this. Does anyone know why and how to get it off?
You must be extremely new to Pinnacle software....
What kind of package did you buy? What it sounds like is that you don't have the entire program unlocked. Pinnacle sells you the basic program, but holds back effects, transitions and filters from use until you buy "upgrades." They block them off by stamping their logo right on top of it, making it unusable for video.
LampArtPro is absolutely correct. The logo is there to remind you to buy the upgrades and add-ons. If you buy the Platinum and such editions, they come unlocked. And yes, it is bull.
Well think about it in this way. If they only sold their program in the complete version. It'd cost around 300 - 350$.
That means someone who doesn't need all the different features, and only needs a simple editing program; is shit out of luck.
So, unlike editing programs like Adobe Premier, Final Cut, or Avid. They sell the program in smaller packages as well. I originally bought Pinnacle Studio 8 with the Dazzle 750, so I could capture dvd, and game footage to my computer, and then edit them into music video. I didn't need chroma keying, or a billion transitions or a million filters. So 100$ (what I paid for it at the time) was worth it.
Now that I've become more experienced with video and started working on independent films, such things like chroma keying become needed, and so I pay the extra money to get them. It's perfectly reasonable. It's not like they advertised chroma keying or any of the missing features on the box.
