Does anyone know anything about them? I'm trying to find a mildly-scalable, low cost system that supports direct-dial lines (so that there's a main number and a specific direct dial for each office). There seem to be a lot more options than I thought, at least these days. Reliability and simple administration are the two main features I'm looking for.

Asterisk might be more than you need, but heck, its open source.

Actually, a lot of the less expensive systems are based on Asterisk.

I can't really recommend a good system, but I can tell you one to avoid... my company recently installed these, and they suck. Of course, given that they're Cisco phones, they probably cost more than you want to spend anyway.
