Bioware is bringing us another great RPG to the Xbox 360. Dragon Age: Origins looks awesome and promises over one hundred hours of gameplay, and a ton of content. You can even train a war dog to fight along side you.
If Bioware's history has taught us anything this game will be awesome. Dragon age comes out late October on the Xbox 360 and looks very promising.
I'm a massive fan of Bioware, since I played Neverwinter Nights, but I've really not been following this at all until I saw the new footage from E3 and now I'm VERY excited!
I live in Edmonton, about 20 minutes from BioWare's second floor studios (they're above some health spa or something), and I can credit my love of gaming entirely to Baldur's Gate, their 1998 RPG that I started playing after a field trip to their old studios at 10 years old. Without Baldur's Gate I'd never have developed a love for a deep story, intricate gameplay, and gaming in general.
So when I heard the words "the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate" uttered by Jay Watamaniuk, I lost my proverbial shit. I've loved every second of what I've seen thus far, and I'm looking forward to wasting unreal amounts of time playing it.
I'm getting it on the PC though. I find top-view RPGs more easily controlled and enjoyed on PC, plus the toolset for Dragon Age is unreal (demo'd at last year's PAX).
I am looking forward to seeing what items it gives you for Mass Effect 2.
Honestly though, I would go buy this game just from hearing "made by Bioware", I have played many of their games from MDK 2 to KoToR and they never dissapoint me.
The attack dogs I mentioned look awesome, they have a video on the site of them in action. Being able to send one of those into combat to just tear apart your enemy looks very rewarding.
If bioware do the game right which they most definitely will do you'd probally be able to play through a ton of times getting different experiences each time thats why im so interested in it.
Dude's gotta love Bioware games they are Awesome been hooked on em all since Star wars KOTOR, only heard about this one recently and it looks like a cracker and with Tim Curry voicing the Bad guy you know it's gonna rocked man has a wicked voice
On another note I got to play a half hour of it at PAX. If anyone's played Baldurs Gate, it's controllable to similar extents, but its feel has been updated to a somewhat Mass Effect kind of deal, but with a much higher degree of party control (and no guns, obviously). Winning battles is interesting, difficult, and often requires strategy.

Awesome man, Cheers for the that makes me want even more now :p
A little conflicted on whether or not to buy this. Already waiting on MW2, L4D2, and Assassin's Creed 2 coming out all around the same time. I guess I'll probably wait and get it later if it turns out to be really good.
You could most likely add another 100 for sidequests. I think Baldur's Gate 2 took me about 150 hrs to really complete. Best game ever, and this one looks to be a very worthy successor for the torch.
Just played around with the character creator and it was cool. Makes me want the game a little bit more, though I'm still not sure. I wish the demo included at least a few minutes of gameplay so I could better decide whether I want it. I'm sure it would be money well spent but still 4 games in 3 weeks gives me some pause.
I used the character creator too. What I thought was cool was the list of skills you got to look over for your character. The mage has some pretty cool spells, you can poison someone and when they die they explode, and you can sommon skeletons from corpses on the ground, as well as make a death cloud that drains life.
I havn't been playing this alot but I'm a Level 3 Human Warrior, main reason is I have Operation Flashpoint rented out and want to try to get 1000/1000 before I return the game, then i'll be playing mad amounts of Dragon Age and Modern Warfare 2.
just picked up dragon age today, downloaded my dragon armor and stone prisoner. I'm lovin it so far. Definately a different RPG than I am used to but still loving it.
