Im sure this is a suprise to no one that Insomniac Games is making another sequel in their awesome first-person shooter series. I would like to point on the Statue of Liberty in the A and what might be the Empire State building in the I of Resistance. Oh boy fighting the Leviathan in Chicago was fun now what sort of giant sized bosses will we be up against here.
it truly was an epic game and if they are doing a number 3 soonish i'm happy...i wonder who you will play though considering Hale got his brains blown out at the end of 2?
Good point, hadn't really thought about it like that... except the setting changes alot in the end of two as well, with all those planets and floating around ...i guess wait and see will be the easiest option
When I think of setting, I think of the base elements of the story... like the covenant invasion in Halo. There are many twists, and the objective changes, but ultimately it's the same. Resistance has a brilliant set-up going for them, and the spoliered parts you mentioned shouldn't change that.
Wouldn't you say that you play Capelli? Cos Hale has no more brains, Grayson is a Chimera and every other Sentinel is dead. And also I'd say that this would wrap up the story of Resistance. So it would have to have a much longer campaign, maybe bringing Earth back from those planet things or finding an anti-Chimera virus.
Oh yeah, and it'd be great if they brought back the Widowmakers and Howlers. Maybe the Weapon Wheel off the first one, just with less weapons and swappable. And all of the great weapons from FOM like the Hailstorm, Sapper, Reapers, Backlash Grenade as well as the health bar would be fun to see again.
Well we never saw Capelli shoot Hale exactly just him holding the gun. Hale had that psychic stuff going on or there could of been someone off screen like the Cloven or some other individuals.
well i tell you who can survive a bullet to the brain...Mr T...he should be the next hero :)
But seriously, i think Capelli is the obvious answer, because even if Hale didn't die he is still practically a Chrimea so it would sort of change things around a bit. But judging by the billboard the main backdrop is New York so maybe its a different storyline altogether with new characters etc
I doubt it. According to Malikov and Major Blake the Chimera broke through the barrier and everywhere got hit except Baton Rogue Louisiana but they're starving to death. New York City being on the ocean is most likely a place that American soldiers won't be going to anytime soon unless the Marquis comes over but they're still operating over in Europe.
yeah but i suppose if it is grey territory that is where the story will come form...reclaiming New York etc, it could be a bit like Cloverfield :)
But i would suggest that Hale is most certainly dead and buried, but there were a lot of loose ends that needed tying the chimera would need to be even bigger and tougher though, i think thats kinda what let me down in resistance 2, a big 300ft monster and i killed it in a few minutes, however that not the point of this thread so i wont dwell on it.
Well New York was Grey Territory. But the Chimera around the end of the Resistance 2 broke through the line and now all of America is pretty much destroyed by the Chimera. I don't know about South America, Canada, Central America and Canada. Judging by Chimera activity at the Yucatan Pennisula in Mexico there's a good chance South America is screwed over.
Hale could be alive he had the psychic powers from Daedalus and Chimera had advanced regenerative abilities. For all we know Hale could be the next Vamp. (Metal Gear Solid Character who had regenerative abilities that would never die no matter how many times you shot him)
I guess could be right about Hale but a change of character could potentially move the storyline to a different point of view ( maybe to a farmer armed with a shotgun and pitchfork) it did seem pretty obvious that Hale got his brains blown out, but a lot of people are saying Capelli could be the new character which would also make sense
Oh yeah that wasnt in Resistance 2 wasn't it. Hopefully they improve the multiplayer aspect. I enjoyed the 30 vs 30 it was large but it seemed to get dull after a while. The co-op was the only thing I still played.
