"When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."

-Steve Jobs

Phone call...

I had a few drinks at a bar and was heading to another when I got a phone call. I looked at my phone and saw that it was from a number I didn’t recognize. Assuming it was a bill collector I just hung it up. They called RIGHT back which I thought was a little odd and considered answering. Then I thought “well if it’s that important they will leave a voice message...” so I hung it up, no message was left, and I went about my drinking.

So the next day I get a text saying “Is this Jim?” The number looked familiar. I looked at my missed call and it was the same number that called me the day before. After a few texts turned out it was a girl I was talking to the other weekend at a bar who got my number off Facebook and wanted to see if I wanted to get a drink.

My night ended up sucking for the most part (for reasons not really worth going into) and from the sound of it the first bar I was at would have been a good time.

And that’s just my luck...

But oh well, this weekend looks like it will be pretty good so that’s something at least.

Moral of the story:
Go with your gut. (You can always hang up if it’s someone you don’t want to talk to...)

Ok...SO :

You mentioned being drunk and dancing, and that made me think of chaos. Uncontrollable actions that some might see and eratic or just otherwise odd and not conforming to the basic rules of society.

Then you mentioned movies, which started the cinema part of my brain spinning up.

Then you mentioned a good day, and that got me thinking about choas and movies and feeling good, and thus....The Joker from Dark Knight.

thanks dear. wish i could claim originality, but i got the design from a threadless shirt i own. i have changed the swirls and leaves a bit though...almost finished the outlining, then onto painting, then re-outlining. i like to do things the hardest way.
