Been Forever
Okay guys. I know that it has been forever since I have been on here or posted anything, so I wanted to take a moment to say hello and let you all know what has been going on with me lately.
The biggest thing is... I am engaged! Thats right! I am going to get married! Wow, scary, I know. Her name is Christie and she is really a great girl.
Of course, the thing that brought me back here was the death of our hero, General George Hammond. He will be missed.
Good to see you all. I should be around a little bit more often.

Origins: Prologue
“Shhh,” whispered Korvik as he peered around the corner of the rather large cave opening, his sharp eyes looking for any sign of their adversary.
The group around him quieted immediately, each member of the small adventuring band gripping their weapons all the more tighter. The smell of sulfur filled their nostrils in the enclosed space as the heat from the thermal vents surrounding them jetted into the air, spewing forth fire and molten rock.
Shaking his head, Korvik pulled his body back around the corner. Quickly, he took a short inventory of his group of comrades, his friends. All of them were ready, some of them, the less experienced, having a look of nervousness or down right fear within their eyes. He knew that he was ready. He had been ready for this his entire life. His armor was tightened, the straps secure upon his body. The magical sword he had recently discovered felt warm in his hands, ready to battle the large beast in the next chamber. His shield felt perfectly balanced on his other arm, its slight weight informing him that it was ready to do its duty, protecting him from harm. He gave each of his friends a warm smile, catching each of their eyes in turn, confirming their readiness for the battle to come.
Boombastic, the ever confident and beautiful rogue, looked up from her task. Korvik noticed several vials of poisons and other reagents around her, her daggers beginning to glow a dark black as she coated them with her most deadly poisons. She gave the man a small nod and wink before returning to her task, her eyes narrowed and her brow furrowed as she concentrated.
Gimmick and Daevelice, the two mages were off in the corner, completely unaware of what else was occurring around them. Korvik knew that when he called them to arms, they would be ready, but for now, the gnome and human mages quietly discussing their tactics for the upcoming battle. What spells would be most successful against the beast’s blackened armor and what would penetrate its might defenses. They would figure something out, he knew. He had known them both for a very long time now, and his confidence in them was completely and utterly unshakable.
A quiet growl drew his attention over to his two hunters, Dergidan, a dwarf of amazing hunting and shooting prowess, and Czanse, the incredible night elf tracker, as their pets and companions growled and played. Czanse was looking over his bow and counting his arrows, each one arranged specifically by their magical abilities. Dergidan was loading his rifle and arranging his bullets into bags as well. When they went into combat, Korvik knew that Derg’s belt would be loaded with pouches filled with bullets, each one in place where he could easily reach in the heat of battle. The dwarf and night elf gave him each a nod, signaling that they would be ready when he was.
Frangus, his dwarven priest, was sitting on the ground, legs crossed and eyes closed as he mumbled words of thanks and praise to his god. The young dwarf has risen quickly through the ranks of the church, becoming one of the most powerful priests in all of Azeroth in a relatively short time. His healing touches and enchantments would soon be needed, Korvik knew, as the beast would thrash most wildly in an attempt to destroy them all.
The rest were prepared, Korvik saw as he took a final stock. Medori, the other warrior who would be charging in along side of him, had just finished tightening her armor and gave him a quick nod of her head, her helmet bobbing up and down as she did so. Even though Korvik could not see her eyes, he could tell by her stance that she was ready. Bradj was casting her dark arts, preparing her spells as she summoned her Imp companion. Grugermiester, the Paladin was the last of Korvik’s core group to signal his readiness, lifting his mace and shield off of the ground as he prepared to back up Frangus’ healing responsibilities.
“This is it,” Korvik stated to his assembled team. “This is the moment we have all been waiting for. This wrym has been pulling the strings in Stormwind for long enough. It is time to put an end to its reign of tyranny and death. Today, we fight for not only ourselves and our very survival, but for the survival of the Grand Alliance. We all come from different places, different homes and kingdoms, but we are all now a family. Today, we fight as a family. And that family cannot be defeated. Prepare yourselves for the final battle!”
The entire group shifted and stood, rogues gathering their daggers and swords, hunters their bows and guns. Priests and mages where heard mumbling, casting their preventive and strengthening magic upon the group of Dragon Slayers.
Korvik stepped up front, Medori at his side and Frangus just behind them. Giving one last look behind to make sure that all were prepared, the brave human warrior stepped into the Dragon Onyxia’s lair.

This is the Prologue to Origins, the story that I am writing for my World of WarCraft Guild. I currently have seven more chapters that I can post.

If not, then I will stop and just post Fight to Survive when I finally get around to working on it again.

Life
Well, what has been going on with me lately? That is really the 1,000,000 dollar question.
1. I have been busy. Life has been extremely crazy as of late and I haven't really had a chance to do anything for me lately. For instance, last night was the first time that I have gotten to be a 'player' instead of a DM in a DnD game for about 4 years. I seriously think that it has been that long. So I had a blast with that last night.
2. My girlfriend is pretty freaking awesome. She is a cool girl that puts up with all of my shit and gives it back on a regular basis as well. Hopefully, I will be able to post a picture of us together some time soon.
3. DragonCon 2007 was awesome! If you would like to see a video of the masquerade staring my friends and I, go here. It is a skit of us doing Wash's Dinosaur scene from the pilot of Firefly, 'Serenity'. We used an audio recording. I was the one behind the Stegosaurus and my cousin Scott was the T-Rex. My friend Dave was the Mutant Enemy. It went over SO well and even though we did not win the competition, several people stated that we should have. We were amused as hell.
The main costumes that we wore this year we designed ourselves, based on S.H.I.E.L.D. agents from Marvel Comics. We summoned a whole bunch of Superheroes and arrested them for being unregistered. We even got a Captain America to take a whole bunch of pictures with us! Unfortunately, I do not have most of those, but my cousin does. As soon as he posts them, I will steal them and point you all to the link.
4. Ren Faire is fun as always. 
5. My full-time job is, eh, okay. It is paying most of the bills, albeit barely. Insulin and supplies are still going to be VERY tough though. I am, however, training on some new things so that is keeping me interested.
6. My major is changing! Starting in December, I am going back to school and working on a Nursing degree. Kind of odd, I know, but I really think that it will be worth it. I can do this. I know that I can.

Hi All!
I know that it has been forever since I have been on. I am really sorry about that. Life... you know.
At any rate, I should be able to log on about twice a week now in the mornings provided things stay the way that they are! Hopefully they do because I miss you all, especially those of you in the Stargate thread. *Sniff* You know that I love all of you guys!
Hope that everything is well and I look forward to talking to you all soon!
P.S. Hopefully soon I will be able to get you all some information on my book that I hope to have published in the next two years. Maybe put a few exerts on here or something.

Me
Well, I know that it has been quite a while since I have been around, and I appologize for it. However, things have been really crazy around here lately and I just don't have the time to sit at the comp for very long any more. However, having said that, I have some news for you all.
1. I am trying to get a new job. Hopefully I will have a full-time one soon that will help me to pay for my medical insurance. That is the goal. I HAVE to have one by May at the latest.
2. Last week sucked. A friend of mine and my sister's died in a car crash a week ago Monday. It was a very stressful week, with mourning and funeral arrangements and all of that crap. So last week was really tough.
3. I have a girlfriend! Her name is Christie. Hopefully I will post some pictures soon.
4. I finally got some work done on Fight to Survive! There will probably be an update later this week.
5. My original story is coming along slowly. I won't be posting that here, but I am still looking for a person or two do the editing and help me to criticize the story and make it better as I go.
Well, that is about it for now. Hopefully I will be back soon more often.

Well, tomorrow morning I leave.
I am waking up at approxiamately 0400 to make the flight in time, but there it is. I leave tomorrow!
Hopefully you guys will hear from me while I am gone! I think the ship will have internet access, but believe you me, I won't be there often!

Doggie Pictures
I will get some up ASAP.
I THINK that some exisit on a digital camera from when we were picking her out. I will also try to post more when I get her and so on. Sort of keep an online diary of her growing up, as well as keep you all informed and jealous of her.
Only two more days till I leave!
