hail stones?

Well would you look at that. it hailed. No big deal.. but these were large (i measured one at 1cm across.. almost 1/2 inch for youse merkin folks)

it lookes like snow outside...... it dosent snow here thats big piles of hail stones !

apparently some got to the size of golf balls

im trying to add a local papers link with pics. if they show you should know the beach is usually yellow sand.. it is white cause of the hail!

Yer it was damn cold here, but no hail. Theres a lot of very worried kiwifruit farmers out there atm.

That is about the size of the hail in the storm I was caught in in New Mexico one time. Those bastards sting like a son of a bitch. Post edited 5/18/09 1:37PM

Damn, I've only seen hail once in my life... Very cool to watch - very bad for cars that don't have a garage... I remember local car repair shops were advertising hail repair for months.
