Awesome and Suck!First, the suck:Hours are being cut back at work, so all full-time employees are only getting 32 hours a week until September. Lame. And it's nothing to do with the recession, but fully to do with the owners of the store failing to properly keep track of the store's used hours each week and not noticing huge hours overruns. Now the awesome: I don't even need those hours because I got a gig teaching a summer school course for a month! It's Math 8/9 Enriched, which means I can teach on pretty much any topic I want from Math 8-10, and I don't have to do report cards! Woo! I begin next week. Also, as of my writing this (I think, because I haven't heard from them yet), I'm an uncle! My brother and sister-in-law went to the hospital this morning for a C-Section because the baby was all backwards and wouldn't come out of her tiny frame easily. By now they should have a brand new baby boy or girl. First grandchild on both of my parents' sides of the family. |
