RvB TO Aftermath
So this year was my first time ever at an RvB event and I'm glad I went to RvB TO. It was also my first time in Toronto and although there was a garbage strike going on in the city it was pretty awesome. I was also with my father in Toronto who if anyone meet him at TO will know him as BK. When I arrived at the hotel on Saturday I was a little shy, I was just walking around the floor with a video camera not really talking to many people, although I did get Luke to sign my shirt while I was there.
After the Q & A we all went to the Imperial Pub and again I was shy sitting at a table with myself and my father, then Jenga came up and started talking to us. After a small chat Jenga offered to introduce me to some people, so after I meet a few members and the staff responsible for making TO possible (Which by the way you guys did a great job, your awesome) Jenga went to meet some other people and at that point I meet alot of cool members like gotbuffy, Raven Adonis (Who was encouraging me to be more open with people, which I'm grateful for now) and I also got to meet Griffon, Geoff and the center of the whole party, Millie. After meeting some great people and watching people draw dicks with wings on other peoples necks (Not me) it was a great first night.
The next day on Sunday I went to the park to hang out with the guys and enjoy a nice BBQ which was delicious so my compliments to the chef. After some more introductions to some cool people it was time for CTF, now it was a three way game with Red vs Blue vs Pink and while I wanted Blue Team (for obvious reasons), instead my father got Blue while I got Pink. While I was a little displeased I thought I should make the best of it and was introduced to the rest of my team which was then dubbed "Pink Pwnies", after a couple hours of awesomeness the Pink Pwnies won 3 to 0 to 0, Hell yeah!! and afterward we got a few pictures in of our team and our team mascot, Millie.
After the BBQ and CTF I went to the bar that night and was an hour late, when I walked in people were starting to leave and were heading either to a different bar or Spamman's party. Before I left Griffon came up to me and asked me to sit at a table with her and the others, so I sat at a table with the Ramseys, Luke and Knuckels_Dawson and it took all my strength not to scream like a girly girl out-of-control fan (I was talking to the Ramseys and Luke, how could you no lose it) and after a nice chat we all ended up at Three Brewers bar. Then Luke came to my table and started chatting with me and my father, again I tried not to freak out, and it was really cool, we weren't talking RvB or work or anything like that just casual talking. After some more conversations with Luke, Griffon, Millie and some other members at the bar it was time I headed out.
RvB TO was awesome and I insist that anyone who is thinking about going to an event like this and hasn't really should, it is amazing. While I plan to go to Comic-Con next year I will try my best to make it to both RvB TO and Comic-Con, so until then I'll be on here. Thanks for reading everyone, talk to ya later.
