Hey, a New Music Score By Brian! Oh may gawd.  #1: "Ummagumma (Studio Tracks)" by Pink Floyd. As the English wave of progressive rock grew in influence, the psychedelic pop band that once was known as Pink Floyd continued to deteriorate into these mad scientist type characters where song structure no longer was in the formula and experimentation with noise was all they had left to offer to the unsuspecting masses. Ummagumma is by far the band's least focused and least accessible album they ever released, primarily because each song was not constructed and performed by the band as a collective, but by each member of the band individually. Richard Wright's "Sysyphus" fares best out of all the compositions here, only because Wright is too much of an classical musician/songwriter to follow along with the rest of the group's ridiculousness. For superfans like myself, this record can be mildly appreciated for its experimentality. For the rest of you, the only reward I think you'll get out of this whole record is a hilarious faux-Scots accent by Roger Waters somewhere in the middle. Download: Sysyphus, Grantchester Meadows.
