Dude...

Do you remember this guy?

I am now convinced he must be smoking weed before starting his shift.

A couple of days ago, I give the guy $4.25(bill is $4.22)...all he has to do is hand me 3 pennies. After the 3rd attempt to give me back $1.03, I got eye contact with him and repeated "just give me 3 pennies dude".

Almost as bad as training a puppy

So this morning, I give him the exact ammount. This time it was 4 nickels and 2 pennies.

He just stared at the change. I could see his eyes moving as if counting, but the ammount just didn't seem to register.

And then he said it....

wait for it...

wait for it...

This is 22 cents, right

WTF

I was way too shocked to come up with a good smart ass comment.

I'll be prepared for the next time

Well, when you pay for everything with a credit card or a purchased cash card (I am thinking Itunes, ZUNE, Xbox Live type cards) working with cash can be hard. That said, I firmly believe public education will be the end of us all.

Wow....this guy should not be on the register. I would love to know if his manager is noticing a large discrepancy between what the register tape says the daily total is and what's actually in the drawer.
