The Nightman Cometh ...... and you missedeth it.First let me apologize for the lack of awesome pics, the theater wouldn't let me bring in my camera, even after I called and asked if it was ok, and they said it was, but I digress. Last night Jack and I went to the late showing of The Nightman Cometh preformed by the cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia The opening act probably started around 11:30pm and we didn't leave the theater until 1:30am. The opening act consisted of a band that had a music style i would describe as comedy-rock. They were great, had the audience participating and for the very last song the lead singer went into the audience, got a beer, then proceeded to throw said beer on stage while his band was still playing, while shouting "THIS ISN'T THE NIGHTMAN COMETH!" As they were transitioning from the opening act to the next part of the show, they rickroll'd us. So next they showed us a clip of the upcoming It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Xmas Special DVD. I won't say much about the clip except that it involved Charlie, Santa, and lots of blood. The next segment of the stage show was that the Gang showed us an upcoming episode of Season 5. Nothing like watching an episode of sunny with 3,000 other fans. Especially since this was the uncensored version, so hearing them say "fuck" in an episode caught me a little off guard. Unfortunately, it wasn't the season 5 premiere, so I still need to go online and watch that. The episode we watched was called "The Gang Reignites the Rivalry". Now onto the main act. **disclaimer: I couldn't find the Mac and Dennis posters The performance was a live reenactment of the episode "The Nightman Cometh" with added dialogue and songs made just for Philly (according to Devito's twitter). The episode transcribed to stage vary well, and it was great watching the actors feed off of the audience. They added another troll song, the original "The Nightman Cometh" song that Charlie writes., and they added a bit to Sweet Dee's "I'm not a child molester" song. The rape scene was very classy, and hilarious. Ow, OW, Do you have a boner? I also caught DeVito tweeting from stage, and tweeted it myself Overall it was a hilarious show, and I recommend you try and snag tickets if it will be playing near you.
