Be Jealous. Or Grateful You're Not Me.So for the past month and a half...I have been gobbling up as many movies as I can. I've had a ton on my computer for years and never got around to them. But being jobless and waiting for calls from the temp agencies...although now I work at Target...leaves me with a lot of time to crank away at them. I also obtained more movies while going through my collection.At first it was amazing. I felt productive. But the last week or so I've been sorta depressed about it. I'm accomplishing nothing other than gathering ideas for writing. I call it research, but it's really brain mushing at the same time. I'm torn. Right now I'm almost 3 hours into the 4 hour long "Gone With the Wind" and can't wait to finish. It is the last and final movie I have on my hard drive. If you can't tell, I have been watching shortest to longest. This movie is sooooo loooooong. All of the movies are ones I have never seen before. Interestingly enough, I only liked a small handful enough to want to buy. I'm the biggest loser ever. If you add the ones I saw in the theater: -500 days of summer -district 9 -9 -inglorious basterds 99. And you know the worst part about it? Someone showed me IMDB's top 250 list AFTER I started. So now I have another project. But I'm gonna limit myself to 2 movies a day, hopefully 1--with the new list. Of course I'll skip the ones I've seen already which is thankfully, a huge chunk. Good thing I'll finish in time for ODST. And if you're gonna make fun of me for buying ODST, frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. |
