I've caved in.

I just ordered one of these. With the drop in the price point to $299 and the $50 rebate MS is currently offering, I debated last week whether or not to get one. In the end I decided my money would be better spent elsewhere. Well I'm glad I made that decision, because tonight I'm getting it for $205 after the rebate. That's just too nice of a number to avoid, and since I paid off my car last Friday, I now have some extra monthly spending cash.

Yeah...I know that the holiday bundle is just coming out and it comes with a couple of games, but I already own LEGO Batman for my PC and I don't know what the other one is. $50 extra saved is money put toward a game or two.

So besides Peggle, Halo, and Uno, what suggestions do you have? (I already own Oblivion, Mass Effect, all the LEGO titles, Bioshock, and the Orange Box on my PC and won't be purchasing those for the 360). Also I'm going to try Live Gold out but I'm not sure how much time I'll have to spend on there initially.

I will need help picking out a gamertag so leave your suggestions here.

Oh, and I haven't forgotten about all those questions you asked for my 500th journal. The answers are still coming, and if you haven't taken the chance, go ask something!

I like my schmexy black Elite. I bought Lego Batman for the PC, but for some reason it wouldnt load. I have Lego Star Wars, its nice.

Don't forget that a gold account costs $50 as well, so that $$ you saved you're just giving right back to M$

50 dollars for a year, 8 dollars a month, or 20 dollars for 3 months. so not too bad *shrug* if you even want a gold account so yeah.

i definitely second fallout 3 and arkham asylum.

guitar hero games if you're into them....although the series is getting old.

beatles rock band for sure if you like the beatles...some pretty badass graphics.

you said halo...by that do you mean halo 3 or halo 3 odst or both? cause it may not be too late for you to get odst and get the chance to beta halo reach? if you do get a gold account and don't want to play the halo 3 campaign then just get odst cause then you can play all the regular halo 3 multiplayer maps plus the downloadable ones because they come free on the second disc.

OK, try to avoid becoming a number like mm172001-i/8930234. Cuz that don't mean nuth'n to me and I'll never remember it. Perhaps something related to your interests in SW or theater - scenic design. Gears 1 and 2 (although I have Gears 1 on PC and prefer it there) I'm glad I'm not the only one who views getting a 360 as a "caving in" hahah, congrats!
