Moving on upOn Wednesday, I will be attending orientation for my new job. I will be working at Sears Teleserv in the retail support department.![]() Basically, people call the support line for Sears, and I answer- I help them through whatever they need- If a major appliance that they purchased broke, then I can send a work order to a Sears technician in their area and have them fix it. If they call asking if I know of any Sears stores that have Nintendo Wii's in stock, then I look it up and report back with the information, and if there aren't any in stock, then I can offer the customer a few options- they can order it and we can have it sent directly from the warehouse to their home when we get the next shipment, or they can order it, and pick it up at their closest local Sears store. It's sales, it's tech support, it's customer service- I will be handling it all, basically. But hey- it pays $10.50 an hour, and I'm guaranteed to work 34 to 40 hours a week. :-) I'll have my own desk with a computer, phone, and headset. ![]() I go today for my drug test, and then I have orientation on Wednesday. Training is 3 weeks long, and then I start my shifts (but hey- I'm making $10.50 an hour, even in training) |
