Sunday Night Football, Week 5

This week it's the Colts and the Titans.

Quick Take

Titans fight for season against unbeaten Colts

Last meeting:
In Week 17 last season, the Colts beat the Titans, 23-0, in a battle of the backups.

Streaks:
Tennessee has won three of the past five meetings, but the Colts have a 16-13 overall series edge, including the playoffs.

Last week:
The Titans fell behind early and were trounced by the Jaguars, 37-17. ... Indianapolis was able to seize control early as the Colts dismantled the Seahawks, 34-17.

Keep your eye on ...

Kerry Collins' hold on the starting quarterback job: The veteran is not the sole reason why Tennessee has started 0-4, but if he struggles early, the Titans may turn to Vince Young. With the Titans' defense not as stout as last year and the rushing attack inconsistent, Collins has been asked to do more and has not met the challenge, turning the ball over seven times in just four games.

Tennessee's mental makeup: An 0-4 start must be disheartening for a team that started the season with Super Bowl aspirations and the Titans have played worse each week since a tough season-opening loss to Pittsburgh in the Kickoff game. This matchup with the rival Colts, who are 4-0, could be Tennessee's last chance to turn their year around.

Peyton Manning's brilliance: Indianapolis' Pro Bowl quarterback is having one of the best starts he's ever had in a legendary 12-year career. He is completing a career-high 71 percent of his passes and is averaging a career-high 9.8 yards per pass attempt. And he's doing all of this by relying on a rookie receiver (Austin Collie) and a second-year wideout (Pierre Garcon). He will no doubt look to exploit the Titans' league-worst pass defense.

Did you know?

The Colts have won 13 straight regular-season games dating back to last season, which is the longest current streak in the NFL. ... Manning is 9-5 in his career against the Titans with 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. ... Collins ranks third among active quarterbacks with 38,307 passing yards. ... Titans WR Nate Washington is going for a fourth straight game with a touchdown catch.

THE RULES

Make a final score prediction in the comments. The pick must be unique, so check previous posts before you place yours. Entries must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM Pacific Time (8:00 PM Eastern) on game day to count.

The winner is the person whose final score is closest to the actual score of the game, with the correct winning team. Winners will receive three leader board points.

Mathematical ties are possible (and it's happened before), so ties on scores get all players involved in the tie two leader board points.

Runners up who select the correct winning team will each receive one leader board point.

This match-up sure looked a lot better at the beginning of the season. Who'd have thought the Titans would have a goose egg in the win column by week 4?

Good luck!
