Still Postin'

OH HAI.

I'm still here. Still reading your journals and whatnot, but have not been in front of my laptop for quite so ridiculously large a proportion of the time.

Keeping rather busy at my end - gigging and such, as well as the day job (BOO). This weekend I hung out at my friends' house on Friday and played my first game of Twister in some time; I had forgotten how horrendously awkward this can be. On the Saturday I got invited to play a gig at the last minute by the owner of a popular bar in Plymouth, for a healthy sum: had to wait aroung for a couple of hours afterwards to wait for some friends, as we were all going out for Paul's birthday, and got hit on to such an obvious degree that even *I* couldn't fail to notice it was happening. There's no accounting for taste.

I am, in fact, still aching from yesterday: I went to Woodlands adventure park with some of the guys from work - I haven't been there since I was around twelve years old - and we all sustained some form of injury. I stubbed my toe so hard it bled, Ash poleaxed himself on the only unpadded piece of wood in the entire park, Dale ripped his trousers in about eight places and nearly gave himself a concussion, and Drew ended up with friction burns on his FACE.

I did somehow manage to maintain some level of energy for the evening - my second open mic night in the Hyde Park. It went down pretty well, and it's fairly likely that it's going to get more popular as time goes on, which is awesome. On top of that I've been told I've definitely got the open mic gig at my local in Ivybridge, meaning two regular gigs a month - pretty fantastic, really! On top of that I'm booked in for gigs on Hallowe'en (trying to decide if I should turn up in costume, and if so, what as), and New Year (double pay! WOO!), with a possibility of some more gigs at another Plymouth bar.

Suffice it to say, it's keeping my busy. I'm sorry if I'm neglecting you guys, it's not my intention. My bad. Rebuke me if you must.

Anyway, I think I've babbled enough. How are y'all doing?

Oh, also, I'm going to keep plugging this, because it's the kind of thing I feel I should be doing. Add it to you fan list and I'll love you forever. <3

SLEEP TIME!

Twister is very awkward. I had thought about doing an epic game of it for my conversation class (parts of the body, colors, plus left and right: yay vocabulary!!) but thankfully I remembered the awkwardness, plus my kids are uber shy. Can't imagine how flustered they would get. And the girls wear their school uniform skirts at twister inappropriate lengths. It's a game that would spell disaster.

Woodlands Adventure Park sounds hazerdous to your health. I'd avoid it in the future if I were you.

Awesome that your getting gigs left and right!

Ditto. Except I have been in front of my laptop because that's where I do my second job.
