Army wants me to re-inlist...
The Army drew my records, and saw that I am now "mentally stable", and wants me to re-enlist as per my contract. I entered mental health court and got in trouble with the local law intentionally. They don't care.. I so desperately don't want to go. I would rather shovel shit from septic tanks in the ghettos for the rest of my life than re-enlist, even by force. Apparently, my contract states that upon mental stability, that I continue my service. I don't want to go. It's not that I'm a pussy... and I won't go into details... but I don't want to do it. Any insight would be insightful. I would rather be homeless than take another life. Once you have "accidentally" killed someone due to someone having their weapon calibrated for their eyesight, you would think many times before making a decision. My astigmatism caused me to do something that I have to live with for a while.
Basically, I had no choice but to grab the closest M-16A4 and return fire. I don't want to go again. I love my country, and I will defend it to the death... but I will be damned if I am forced to go over seas and fight in some other country/. Message me if you have any questions or insight. I need someone to talk to about this. Someone who can really help.
