Hawaii....FTW

Tonights my last night on the island...it's been a very exciting trip. Today I tried stand up paddle board and we were on them for over an hour...l loved it! I tried kayaking the other day and ugh, not so fun compared to what I do...but I was also on a very tourist kayak.

Kama's team came in 69 out of 112 canoes. Tahiti came in first place at 4 hours 40 minutes. Kama's team was 6 hours 19 minutes...epic conditions. I'm training now for next years women's race. 41 miles across the Molokai channel past diamond head into Duke Kahanamoku beach!

With a beach name with the word "Duke" in it, it must be incredibly awesome. Then again, I guess Hawaii is overall awesome.

yeah, i couldnt do that. 41 miles of paddling, i'd be dead at like 1/2 a mile.

Awesome, glad to hear you had a good time. Been wanting to try the Stand Up Paddle Boarding for a while, but the conditions out in Hood River make me a little nervous. Apparently they have a weekly race series as well. Maybe after the Dragon Boat season next year.
