A month?Geez. I lose, I guess. Sorry about that.I really have no good excuse aside from being generally very busy. This semester is killing me. Between being an RA (resident assistant), president of the Student Activities Board, moderately difficult classes, and friends, the internet and video games and all that business have taken a distant backseat. Basically I took on too much, this semester, and my hobbies are paying for it. In the good ol' days, I would've apologized profusely for this, but I think we're all at the point that you guys understand. And in my defense, I am working on solving this problem. I officially announced my resignation as president of SAB, a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I'm waiting until the end of the semester to officially step down. We hold elections then anyway, so I figured it'd be better for the organization. So, basically, this semester has been hell. I'm way too busy, and on top of that, my best friend graduates in December, so I won't even get to make up for lost time when I'm able to... Granted, she's not moving to Alaska or anything (just to Omaha, which is only 1.5 hours away via car), but there's no denying it won't be the same. Fortunately there's been a recent ray of light. I've been hanging out with an amazing girl named Alyssa for the past two weeks-ish. I'm currently in the position that I very, very much like her, but it's a bit too soon to ask her out... My plan is to continue hanging out this week, and, if all signs point to yes, I'll ask her out on a real date next Saturday. I'm currently thinking of going the safe route, dinner and a movie, for this first out-of-town outing. Cliche, but a classic. ...Oh, and, in a much more selfish, material situation, my aunt has purchased a 64 GB iPod Touch for me (but has, unfortunately, not sent it yet; I don't know why). The first iPod I've encountered that actually seems worth the price. ...So... What have you been up to, lately? |
