Boston Comic-ConI didn't even know it existed until I heard about it from...someone. Or somewhere. Anyways, since I was at rehearsal all day yesterday I popped by this morning for about two hours. The con was small, and really heavy on the comic book sellers vs. the artists (at least, it felt that way). I originally only came for Tim Sale, of Loeb/Sale Batman trilogy fame, but during my wanderings I found two rather interesting people in the same room. First was an artist named Sara Richard, from whom I ended up buying three prints. Sitting next to her was Juli Mayers, who actually interned at DC for a number of years. The two of us and a Raven cosplayer got into a long discussion about the DCAU (which was her primary work area), DC continuity and DC characters. I also saw Catwoman, along with Logan, Jean and Rogue...or maybe Storm; it was two of the three Marvel ladies at any rate. As for Tim Sale, I got him to sign my copies of The Long Halloween, Dark Victory and Haunted Knight. Concert tonight. MCB p-set due tomorrow. Laterz. |
