Mashing The Beatles

On yesterday's podcast, I talked about a guy who claims he hit his head in the desert and traveled to an alternate dimension where The Beatles never broke up. He even kept a tape of their newest songs and has posted them online for all of us to enjoy.

Clearly that's just an elaborate way to promote his mash-up project -- or he's clinically insane, get well soon -- but it reminded of another Beatles mash-up project I have enjoyed for years. The Beastles takes Beatles tunes and re-mixes them with Beastie Boys songs. The result is a whole lot of awesome.

Looks like the songs are not downloadable from djBC's site, so maybe somebody in the comments can find them somewhere online.

one of my fav beatles mashups has got to be the grey album by dangermouse. he mixes the jay-z black album with the beatles white album. i really don't like the jay-z black album, and find the grey album to be far superior and actually enjoyable.

Jack passed me a copy of Jaydiohead, which is JayZ and Radiohead mashed up. Can't say I like it as much as this Beastie/Beatles.

man i completely believed in the guys parallel dimension story. come on its the classic story of boy goes into desert, has something happen to make him travel though a dimension and brings back new singles of the beatles. it should have been made into a movie starring tom cruise
