Didn't watch the whole thing...I know I should. I just can't help but think that just being alive and moving forward in 'time' we're changing viruses and all of the micro world. They keep getting worse because our immune systems keep getting better. Simple evolution. They're not just going to roll over and die. So whether we manipulate them in a lab or let nature do its thing they're always going to be a huge threat.

Though we really don't need to help it along...which could be said about the extinction of our species. We all die soon enough, like we really needed to build new weapons to help it along. We are slowly, yet surely, guaranteeing our extinction everyday. We have a good understanding of our world and universe now days. So we know the myriad of ways our existence can end. Yet we spend our time and money and attention on some pretty dumb stuff. (Though if it's your hobby I can understand spending time on it for the individual) Yet our countries spend it all on trying to take over this land or that. Killing these people or those. Making more money. Getting their immortality in short. Our species is obsessed with immortality. Some use religion for immortality. Other art. Most use their kids. The assholes use politics. The psychopaths use murder. Uneducated kids use gangs. The highly educated use Science. All searching for the way to live on after they're dead and gone. Hoping to be remembered by future generations.
