Self Control and Self ImprovementIt's what I'm all about now. I've been reading a lot of random articles and learning a lot at work, but I want to focus my learning more. I want to improve myself. I'm aiming to be minimalist, happy, and overall...better. I have found 3 great blogs. I'm inspired to start my own. I have an idea...but I don't know if it could gain the readership I want. Would you read a blog about learning how to improve your sense of humor? It would include funny stories, articles, anything to make you laugh and improve your ability to make others laugh. I think I could do it...Zen Habits--all about frugality, loving life with less, and simplifying everything, as a bonus, it's all uncopyrighted which is amazing to me, and makes sense I Will Teach You To Be Rich--all about budgeting before you spend, planning ahead, and investing in yourself for the future (not at all about frugality, the guy hates it) The Happiness Project--all about being more happy in life I started to realize that I've already done a bunch of these techniques. Like simplifying, you know those phases on RvB I've gone through where I nearly leave? That was my simplifying and re-evaluating of my time here. I'm such a pro. I'm going to try to simplify my room and belongings. That means selling 99% of my beanie babies. Maybe I'll give away 99% of my Star Wars legos (or sell, if I can find a buyer). Why 99%? I gotta keep at least one of each. I don't need the rest. I'll pick a favorite. The zebra (my first) and the Imperial Lambda-class shuttle. (looked it up, I fail). Done. Also, I think I'm going to try to distance myself from the "zatch" name. Too many...bells...ring in my ears. I think I'll keep the name here though. I tried some twitter names on for size. I was CynicalTickle for a bit (contradiction...like me..., i get a tickle in my brain when i'm cynical, rhymes) and then I was Zaquiri (after the strawberry daiquiri, but I realized that zaiquiri is taken, so mine was a hard to spell typo at best) and now I think I've settled on "zackbenimble" which is perfect. Easy to spell. You know what it's from. (or you feel like you do...) You know it audibly too. Follow me and I'll follow you and keep following you if you're not boring. And if I know you.
