Death, the beginning or the end?

Quick and heavy strode the large hooves of a steed bred for war. Dirt and blood was tossed aside in the wake of this solid Horse. As the warhorse strode on, decapitated rotting heads would fall and bounce away soon followed by a by the crashing of their towering bodies to the ground. Atop the mount rode a strong man, a leader, a warrior, a man of great faith. In each hand he held a longsword which he swung with ferocity and grace. Upon his chest was armor of plate with the crest of Dogda. He knew he had slayed so many of those who rose again, but their numbers seemed as if they were unaffected by his deeds.

I could have watched my father ride and fight forever it seemed, but I could not, my mother quickly grabbed my had and dragged me towards the well. The women and children amassed here behind the line of those trained to protect us. Paladins, preists, clerics, warriors, and any one who could lend a hand defend us there a stand point. I felt like a caged beast drownding in a sea of legs and dresses. I crawled amongst the towering legs and made my way as quick as I could to the well. I climbed up and stood along the edge so that I could watch the frey.

There I saw my brother Thorgan fighting along side his best friend Ilthen. Back to back they stood surrounded by a stumbling mass of the undead. Parrying blows and returning them to those who would not rest. But then a sythe sliced into Ilthens arm and you could see the red rage in his face as he then charged into the foe that struck him, leaving the back of my brother. Ilthen swang wildly in the midst of his foes with such speed and vigor. But my brother Thorgan didnt have much of a chance as I watched A large Skeletal figure plunge a sword into his back. My brother looked down to see a sharp bloody point emerge from his stomach. He then looked to the sky and slowly slide off the blade crashing to the ground. I screamed in a state of horror and would have cried, but I couldnt because my eyes went dry at what i saw....

A dark figure south of town atop a the nearby hill. And in his hads seemed to be pure darkness. The darkness grew and grew until its release. The swirling mass of dark energies twisted, turned, and curved as if it had a specific target. And that is when the ball of death struck my father. The energies hurled him from his horse yet clung to him. I could see the very fabrics of his armor being torn to shreds, his flesh melted from his face and hands as he kneeled with a look of horror in his eyes. The flesh melting away revealed his bones... Then suddenly i was struck by the dismembered head of an one of the monsters and I had began to stumble back.

The last thing I remember was my mother reaching for me and screaming my name. I reached for her but it was to late and she was shrinking in the distance and the light of the moon was even running from my site. I couldn't see a thing as I fell, but all I could hear the screams of the women and children and the image of my father burning in my thoughts. And then all was BLACK!
