I'm so glad that I haven't followed through on my trips to either Vegas or Tampa/Lakeland for the week of the 1st. Vegas just isn't hot enough yet (I want scenery by the pool!) and I simply hadn't bought the tickets for the Tigers/Yankees game yet for the 27th. So this was just perfect timing! I missed out on booking PAX (and really, I was only going to meet the gang, wasn't interested in much else) and had been thinking about driving down to Austin for some time now. This is perfect!

That's pretty cool. In my field, they would call that ethnographic data--on the rez, we'd call that White People Trivia . I have to wonder now, does everybody from back home get the same internal image of some peach faced fat white man on a throne in the orchard shaking his staff when they hear that, or is it only my particular family that says peachy fucking king?
You seriously just busted me up here. Buddy of mine out here, an urban Injun, always tells me I have an accent, and I always say no I don't, I've been off the rez for twenty years, more or less. I left my accent behind about ten years ago. Then you come along and prove his point. I've got to make sure he never sees this. Quick, burn my computer!
